Envision a multi-venue destination welcoming guests of all ages to enjoy an abundance of activities all in one magnificent 416,000 square-foot building: Old Stove Brewing, live music, ART, RESTAURANTS, museums, hotel, MAKER SPACES, BIKE TRAILS, events and SO MUCH more.
For nearly 100 years, the Mill defined manufacturing in Vicksburg as a pillar of the community that impacted every aspect of life in the Village. Generations of families powered the Mill with their creativity and brawn. We’re celebrating that legacy by restoring the campus to its original grandeur and upgrading the buildings with cutting-edge improvements.
Fueled from top to bottom by a solid Midwestern work ethic and the desire to do whatever it takes to get the job done right, The Mill earned a reputation for innovation and making high-quality paper products. We share these traits and a desire to reestablish The Mill as a hub of innovation and production, as well as the heart and pride of Vicksburg. This thinking will continue to permeate every aspect of this project.
With a clear understanding that a strong Mill meant a strong and prosperous community, everyone associated with the operation knew that a rising tide lifts every boat. We know that our efforts also stand a good chance of improving the quality of life for members of our community. If we work together, a strong Mill will work for us all.
Old Stove Brewing and production facility with taprooms, vintage bars and the nation’s largest museum dedicated to the history of American brewing.
A multi-venue destination that will simultaneously host indoor and outdoor concerts, shows and festivals with first-class amenities.
A center for conventions, conferences and events supported by a boutique hotel in a vintage space with amazing features, recreation and views.
A relentless dedication to the art of craft and lifelong learning through our support of artists, musicians, makers and the preservation of history.
Until The Mill at Vicksburg opens its doors as a premier multi-venue, entertainment destination, the village continues to buzz year-round with activity—and The Mill is at the heart of it all. From hosting engaging workshops, live music events and guided tours to restoring beloved historic buildings in the Village and sponsoring seasonal festivals, The Mill connects visitors to its rich history and scenic surroundings.
Mackenzies Bakery honors a century’s worth of history from all the sweet businesses that once operated in its space. It has been lovingly restored to offer a modern and elevated twist on scratch-made artisanal breads, baked goods, coffees, teas and partner products.
Prairie Ronde is an art and music residency hosted by The Mill at Vicksburg. It aims to bring artists into our space to engage with The Mill’s historic legacy and monumental transformation.
The Cone Top Brewery Museum tells the story of American beer and its role in our culture through breweriana—the collection of beer artifacts from pre-prohibition to modern times. Currently housed in 108 S. Main downtown, it will eventually occupy 15,000 sq. ft. of The Mill space.
The Mill Visitor Center is a dedicated space for anyone to discover the fascinating history of the former Lee Paper Company through informational exhibits while learning more about our vision for its future. Merch is also available!
We are dedicated to exceptional research, care and craftsmanship to honor and extend The Mill’s legacy. At its peak, The Mill employed 250 workers as Vicksburg’s largest employer.
