The Mill at Vicksburg Building 7
The installation of our new roof on Building 7, known as “the New Machine Room,” is almost complete! By the end of 2024, the final roof panels will be in place, interior masonry and structural repairs will be complete and the last of our roof will have been rebuilt or replaced. We love this comparison of The Mill in 2017, prior to stabilization, beside this recent aerial view of the roof nearing completion.

The “Hill’s Buildings” Restoration
Our exterior façade construction continues! The masonry façade at 110 is taking shape with the arched openings and entryway, and the storefront at 108 is becoming visible as the Frederick Construction team completes framing efforts. The façade at 106 S. Main is now undergoing its most substantial rehabilitation with structural updates that will allow for framing the new opening.
The west site is under heavy construction as utility updates have been made with new pipes installed along with foundations for the new exterior stair that will progress from the second floor spaces of 110 and 108 S. Main. Once these below-grade efforts are complete, including exterior waterproofing of the historic stone basement, the site will be infilled and stabilized for the next series of site improvements!
