The Bardeen family’s connection to the Lee Paper Mill dates back 120 years, to when George E. Bardeen co-founded the paper mill with Fred Lee, William Howard and Charles Seitz in 1903. The Bardeen name became well known throughout the Vicksburg community, with George being highly regarded as a respected man.
Flash forward to now, today’s generation of Bardeen’s flew into town for their annual visit to the graves of their father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Their trip coincided with our annual Mill Family Reunion, and we invited the family to attend.
Christopher, Sarah and Jenny Bardeen joined us for a pancake breakfast and a tour of The Mill at Vicksburg to see its recent repairs and learn about the plans for its future.
